Five people with no travel history test positive for COVID in Bandipora | KNO

Bandipora, June 02 (KNO): Samples of five suspected COVID-19 patients in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district tested positive for the disease Tuesday taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 150. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that unfortunately five more suspected patients having no travel history turned positive for Covid-19 today. “Four of them are from FTI Bandipora while one patient is from Nebrapora,” they said. The official said that five people, including three females, have been shifted to a hospital dedicated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. He said the contact tracing of all the five new Covid-19 positive cases was on. “Total number of cases in the district now stands at 150 of which 16 are active while 133 patients have recovered so far. A patient has also died due to Covid-19 in Gund—Jahengeer village of Hajin,” he said. He further said that there is no need to panic as they are fighting very well but people should also take special care of themselves, because it is a deadly disease, it can spread to anyone if there is even the slightest mistake. Earlier the district was declared as Orange zone after the average COVID-19 patients previously found in the district recovered. The administration had allowed resumption of most of the economic activities—(KNO)
